Josefa Ortiz de Domínguez used her position to organize secret meetings where the early insurgent movements were planned. Her most notable act was warning the independence leaders about the discovery of the conspiracy in 1810, allowing them to launch the fight for freedom before being captured.

Thanks to her bravery, the "Grito de Dolores" became the rallying cry for Mexican independence. Despite facing arrest and persecution, her legacy endures as a powerful symbol of struggle and strength for all women.
